Pardon the apparent absense over the last few days, but… well, let’s just say hardware problems on my other machine. At least the monitor was still under warranty.
So, anyone else go to the Computer Faire? Lot of shit it was this year, hardly anything to hold my interest longer than a few minutes… but the women I saw there! Yeow, nice stuff!!
Ah yes, got a few CD-ROMs as well. They’ll be on the BBS in due course.

We had some problems… the modem packed up. Nice, huh?
If you connected during the Easter weekend, that was to the USR, with the BBS at work the office. If you’ve connected now, another Fastlink is in, and this cursed machine is back at home.

At about 15:00 on 13-03-1996 the HMVH Corporation BBS died, invariably due to a lightning strike in the immediate vicinity. The motherboard and the controller card, as well as an I/O card in my other machine had to be replaced. The remaining parts of the systems appear to have survived.
Do let me know if the BBS is not behaving as it should.
180 or so new JPGs should compensate for the downtime :)

Right… We’ve finally registered RemoteAccess and have enabled or made use of all those ‘registered only’ features. On top of that, the addition of another 1.2GB drive.

Line noise and other shit aside, we’ve decided to invest in another v.34 28800bps modem, a brand of lesser status than USR. So far it’s working.

Seems like the new Menu Design was preferred over the old one, so all our Menus have been redesigned from scratch, minor rearrangements were thus unavoidable.
And, while we’re at it, the Bordello, SuperSlots and BlueWave doors have been upgraded while others are slowly being added. See you in the Doors!
