A decade at Twitter

Today marks my 10th year on Twitter. Like most first-time users, I had absolutely no idea what to do with it nor what to expect of it. In its early days, micro-blogging was as confusing as it was innocent. Continue reading

It’s all on video

I’ve recently been clearing out a bunch of old video clips. The early web was home to many weirdos, and videos of the kind didn’t help its reputation. Continue reading

Mobile visitors

My little page about South African Bulletin Board Systems doesn’t pull in a lot of visitors. What surprised me most about the influx of readers was the devices they used. Almost half are mobile devices. Continue reading

Uncertain is also when this is all going to take place. Well, it’s certainly taken place now. Continue reading

When Microsoft attempts racial profiling

Last week the web was all aflutter about Microsoft’s poor photoshopping skills. Clearly, a lot of black males were outraged and a many a white male may have felt patronised but were it not for the benign demographic republic of geekdom that ultimately was insulted, this minor tempest in a tea cup could easily have become a global shitstorm in a Polish pisspot.
